Privacy Policy
This policy explains what CTXbase processes when you convert, save, and share Markdown content, including how cloud storage and access links work.
Last updated: June 30, 2026
Content we process
When you convert content, CTXbase processes the uploaded file, web page URL, or pasted text to generate Markdown. Depending on the format, conversion may use local parsing, OCR, or worker services. Source files are used for conversion and are not intended to be retained as original-file storage.
Content we store
If you save a result, CTXbase stores the Markdown output, title, source label, timestamps, account identifier, content hash, and access-link settings required to provide the library and sharing features.
Cloud storage and encryption
CTXbase uses HTTPS/TLS for data in transit and relies on trusted cloud infrastructure with database access controls and provider-supported encryption at rest. CTXbase is not end-to-end encrypted because the service must process, index, render, and share saved Markdown for the features you request.
Access links and tokens
Access links and MCP configurations use bearer tokens. CTXbase stores token hashes, not reusable plaintext tokens. If you share a link or configuration, the recipient or tool can read the Markdown allowed by that token until it is revoked, expires, or is otherwise disabled.
Service providers
CTXbase may use infrastructure, authentication, database, logging, metering, OCR, and conversion providers to operate the product. These providers process data only as needed to deliver, secure, monitor, and improve the service.
Retention and deletion
Unsaved conversion inputs are not meant to become long-term assets. Saved Markdown remains in your library until you delete it or the service removes it under applicable policy, security, or operational requirements.
Security practices
We use practical safeguards such as authentication, row-level access rules, token hashing, transport encryption, scoped read-only links, and operational monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid uploading secrets or content you are not permitted to process.
